TYPEFUL

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Typeful: Personality Test (package com.webstei.typeful) is made by webstei. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: your answers never leave your phone. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours anywhere. We cannot see your result, because it is not sent to us.

Your answers and your results

Everything you tap in Typeful is stored on your own device and nowhere else:

Your type is worked out by the app itself, on the phone, in about a millisecond. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on a server, and there is no way for us or anybody else to look it up. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Your photo

Typeful lets you put your own photo on a share card. This is optional and it is off unless you choose a photo yourself.

If you do, the app copies that one image into its own private folder on your phone so it does not disappear when Android clears its cache. It is never uploaded. It appears only in the share image you create, and only if you then choose to share that image yourself. You can remove it at any time from the share screen.

Choosing a photo asks Android for permission to read your photo library. The app does not use your camera and never asks for camera permission.

Notifications

Typeful can send you one reminder a day if you turn it on in Settings. It is off by default.

These are local notifications. Your phone schedules them against its own clock. There is no push service, no device token and no message from us: nothing about a reminder involves the internet or tells us that you opened the app.

Advertising

Typeful is free and is paid for by ads, supplied by Google AdMob. This is the one part of the app that talks to the internet, so it is the one part worth reading carefully.

To show an ad, Google receives an advertising identifier from your device, along with technical information such as your device type, your rough region and your language. That identifier is not your name and not your email, and it can be reset or blocked at any time in your Android settings under Privacy → Ads.

Your answers and your results are never sent to Google or to any advertiser. The advertising system in the app has no access to them.

How Google uses the data it receives is covered by Google's own policy.

Because of this, the honest description of Typeful is your answers stay on your phone, not the app is offline. The ads do reach the internet.

What we never collect

Children

Typeful is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. There is nothing to collect: the app has no account system and asks for no personal details.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. A change that affects what leaves your device would also be announced in the app's release notes.
